1. Who we are, and agreeing to these terms

BRBsocials Ltd (trading as BRB Socials and Cupid Services, "we", "us") runs the events and services offered on brbsocials.com. By purchasing a ticket or attending one of our events, you agree to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always on this page.

2. Eligibility

Our events are strictly for people aged 18 or over. You must provide accurate information when registering. We may refuse entry where information is inaccurate or eligibility requirements aren't met.

3. Tickets and payment

Tickets are sold through our ticketing partner, Humanitix, whose platform processes all payments. We never receive your card details.

4. Refunds (if you cancel)

If your plans change, you can refund your ticket yourself through Humanitix up to 7 days before the event (see Humanitix's guide). Within 7 days of the event, tickets are non-refundable for change of mind, as we've committed venues, hosts and matching arrangements based on your attendance. For some events you can list your ticket for resale using Humanitix's resale feature.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act or the Australian Consumer Law.

5. If we cancel or change an event

Occasionally we may need to cancel an event. If we do, we'll tell you promptly and you can choose either a full refund or a credit for a future event. We're not liable for any other costs you may have incurred (such as travel or accommodation). We may adjust an event's format on the night to give attendees the best possible experience.

6. Conduct

Our events depend on a respectful, considerate environment. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone whose behaviour is inappropriate, unsafe, or disrespectful to attendees or staff — without refund — and may decline their attendance at future events. Attendees are expected to consume alcohol responsibly; we may deny entry to anyone who arrives intoxicated.

7. Dress code

Smart-casual unless an event says otherwise. We embrace individuality — wear what makes you comfortable.

8. Photography and video

By attending, you consent to being photographed and filmed for our social media, website, and marketing. If you'd prefer not to be included, email us before the event or tell a host at check-in and we'll avoid filming you.

9. Matchmaking and interactions

We work hard to create great events, but we don't guarantee matches, connections, or any particular outcome. We don't vet, screen, or background-check attendees. Any interaction with other attendees — during or after an event — is at your own discretion and risk, and we encourage normal caution when getting to know new people.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss; our total liability in connection with an event is limited to the price you paid for your ticket; and we accept no liability for loss, injury, damage, or misconduct resulting from interactions with people you meet through our services.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, the Fair Trading Act, or the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. General
